If you live in Mumbai, then you have pretty strong feelings about the monsoons. You either hate it or love it, but most of you probably fall in the category that can’t get over the beauty of the rains in this bustling city, but hate what it does to it, too. As much as the monsoons are possibly the most pleasant weather we get to experience in this city, it also wreaks havoc on pretty much everything – from the roads in the city to the otherwise clockwork-like functioning public transport system. But that doesn’t mean we don’t adore listening to Bollywood songs while sitting at a khidki while it’s raining, or eating freshly fried pakodas and bhajias with a piping hot cup of tea. So here’s a tribute to that typically Mumbaiyya food you should be eating in the monsoons, in pictures.
