There isn’t a shortage of self watering planters out there. Take a look through Yanko and you’ll find concepts as far as the eye can see. They all work on the same principle too. The Amphora, although fitting into the same category, is slightly different in a way that makes you go wow.
Designed for herbs and tiny plants, the Amphora has a vase and a porous plant-pot. Fill the vase till the top and place the plant pot within. As the roots grow longer, they absorb more water. The water level falls, but that is compensated for by the elongation of the roots. It’s quite a simple concept, that seems awesome in principle. I’m dying to see how well it works practically!
