Sea Cloud is a literal twist on pubic seating! It’s the latest artistic addition to the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. An abstraction of a birds-eye view of the sea as we fly over it, the form is composed of several twisted surfaces. Surprising yet playfully inviting, it’s at once a place for passersby to sit or lean for a bit of rest and a sculptural accent for travelers to admire. Zaha Hadid would be proud!
