The colour copper is one of the most-sought after shades this summer. It is the new black. Forget smokey eyes, forget red lips, your eyes and lips are asking for a shade of copper. Be it nails or even hair, copper will soon take over your beauty kit. So here’s a step-by-step guide of the copper look which will rule the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2016. With inputs from the make up artists at Lakme Salon we tell you how to get the copper look to perfection.
Eyes
Step 1: Give a deep smokey look to the eyes using a blend of copper and black.
Step 2: Coat the eyelid with cream-based copper eye shadow.
Step 3: Apply black gel line near the socket line blended into the copper shade to add that bit of oomph.
Step 4: On the inner rim of the eyes also called as the water line, go for a heavy application of a deep dark kohl pencil to add extra depth to the eyes.
Step 5: Smudge black gel eyeliner near the lash line for definition.
Step 6: Apply smudged cream based copper eye shadow near the lower lash line.
Step 7: In the inner corner of the eyes, apply a hint of lash glue to hold the chunks of copper glitter, in place.
Cheeks
Step 1: A copper tone blusher is applied on the cheeks to compliment the eyes and lips.
Lips
Step 1: Apply a highly metallic copper brown lip colour to compliment the bold and metallic eyes.
Step 2: The perfectly done-up look is incomplete without strobing.
Step 3: Highlight the top of the cheek bones, the part below the brow bone, cupid’s bow and bridge of the nose for that extra sheen and glow.
