Sometimes even though you’re happy with the body you have, you just feel like you can lean out a bit more. But the biggest challenge is – how to curb those food cravings! Here are a few ways to deal with it.
1. Sleep early
Most of our cravings attack us in the night. And if you stay up until midnight or late, you are just bound to feel hungry, regardless of anything. And you are going to reach out for those midnight munchies. Plan to sleep early, let your body rest so that you wake up feeling energised.
2. Make and eat food that you like
It’s a complete myth that if you want to lose weight, you have to go on a diet. Go out and eat the food you like! But, eat healthy and don’t starve.
3. Focus on what your body needs and not what it wants
A lot of fast food or greasy food will surely make you happy for that moment, but eventually it will lead to lethargy. What your body wants is different from what it needs. You should stay in tune with it.
4. Pursue activities that you enjoy
We usually sleep for 6-7 hours then wake up and go to work. We lead a sedentary life. Finding activities that you enjoy will help you focus on something other than lounging around on the couch or taking a detour to the fridge.
5. Indulge when you really deserve it
Trying to shift your point of pleasure is not easy especially when you’re trying to lose weight. A strong willpower isn’t enough. Once you’ve actually reached a day to have that cheat meal, eat it big! Enjoy because you really deserve it. And then start your cycle again.
