MELLOM, Norwegian for “in-between,” is a stool designed with inspiration from architecture. The design evokes curiosity from the viewer by playing with the roles of support one would find in modern architecture. What should have been the bearing structure is in fact the support structure and vice versa. This unique visual is further enhanced by cutting the legs off before they reach the seat, which in turn gives the seat a light, almost floating character.
