Today can possible be one of the prime examples of why we need massive amendments to the rape laws in our country. The juvenile accused in the Nirbhaya rape case walks free today, leaving millions of us shocked and possibly scared.
We now have a man, a criminal who is being given permission to walk the streets, and restart his life despite being a part of one of India’s most brutal gang rapes.
Understandably people are angry. But what this man on Twitter did was uncalled for. In a direct attack on Arvind Kejriwal, a man took to Twitter and provoked Twitterati to rape Delhi Chief Minister’s daughter and then make sure they get the same rewards.

Thankfully, Promila Gupta, member of the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) took notice and assured that action will be taken against him. Seeing this, the man immediately deleted the tweet.
@Anshi2017 @Ankita_Shah8 Complaint Noted, The tweet is been deleted but we will take action. @SwatiJaiHind @garrysingh954

However, we need to understand that this is not something that Arvind Kejriwal has specifically set out to do. As per the law, the government is bound to give the accused no more than three years of time in a juvenile remand home. The same act, Juvenile Justice Act, binds the government to provide rehabilitation for the juvenile upon release.
It’s sad that we have people going the eye for an eye route to get justice. We understand his anger, but victimizing more women is not the answer. The law needs to be changed.
