A fitness enthusiast, Megha More did one of things many of us wish could do; she left her corporate job to follow her heart. Based in Bangalore, Megha is the co-founder and COO of Truweight, a weight loss venture that promotes a healthy way to lose the extra kilos by eating right.
After completing her MBA, Megha took up jobs with big corporates like Mckensey and Goldman Sachs. But she gave up her established career to address the issues of obesity and how it affects our life. Her aim was to address weight loss and other related diseases like diabetes and PCOS that affect a large majority today. After much thought, Megha dove into the deep waters of the weight loss market and established Truweight in 2013.
With a dynamic personality and an agile body, Megha isn’t one of those who you’ll find sitting idle. She loves meeting new people and believes that every person has something new to teach. Here’s taking you through a day in the intriguing life of Megha More. Take a look.
A morning person, Megha loves to sit in her balcony early in the morning with a bottle of water, and enjoy the view. This is when she plans the day ahead.
Megha’s passion and dedication for the track has led her to run a few marathons too. She goes on a run everyday. (This one’s an album picture of one of her marathon runs.)
Besides running, she spends her free time Zentangling and says it helps her focus. In fact, she Zentangles during calls and while thinking too. (Zentangling is an easy, fun and relaxing way to draw structured patterns to create images.)
She is also very passionate about dancing and never misses a chance to shake a leg. In fact, her email signature says, “If you get a chance to sit or dance, I hope you dance.”
Megha spends at least an hour and a half of quality time with her son every day and her mommy duties score above everything else.
Her favourite stress-buster is spending time with her little one.
Megha also loves reading (mostly autobiographies and non-fiction), though these days she’s pretty content reading nursery rhymes and stories to her son.
An adventurer at heart, Megha makes it a point to plan a family outing at least once in a month. Here’s a picture from one of her travel trips that has Megha high up in the sky diving back down.
Her day ends with finishing work commitments and checking up on clients. Like every entrepreneur, Megha is happiest when she hears of a client success story and this is one of those moments captured perfectly with her big, wide smile.
