In the commercial hub of Lower Parel, Mumbai, Millk the newly launched play and leisure area occupies a sprawling 8000 sq.ft. Wondering why? Well you’ll be amazed to walk into a beautiful space that boasts of catering to kids as well as their moms.

The first of its kind, Millk thrives on the concept that kids and their guardians both can have equal amounts of fun and make the most of their free-time. With a colourful play area for the little ones, a fancy spa and salon for the elders and a café for all the hungry souls this is surely the IT place for urban moms.

But why is this hip new place called Millk? Well, according to owner Karishma Gowani, a qualified childcare specialist, milk is the one thing that kids connect to. They wanted kids to identify with the place and milk was just it.

In awe of the beautifully designed space, I tried their spa treatment. The rope massage that I was treated to was done with immaculate care and perfection. Their trained staff is cordial and helpful and totally treats you like a queen.

The spa and salon has on offer a variety of services at pocket-friendly rates.

After the rejuvenating spa I walked my way to the café and their special, creamy baked mushrooms which was oh so delicious. The creamy mushroom and white wine risotto came next and totally stole the show. Yes, I am a mushroom fan but I wasn’t expecting the risotto to be so delicious. The richness of the dish was evident with the fact that I just couldn’t eat anything more but the chef sure convinced me to try their signature dessert, the blueberry cheesecake along with the Oreo cookie milkshake. Although the cheesecake was good the Oreo cookie milkshake won hands down.

The café has a concise menu along with options for the health conscious, and the space has free WiFi so just in case if you get the urge to catch up on some work, you can.

Millk also has a special dessert counter where kiddos can make their own sweets. Mini Cinnamon-frosted rolls, cupcakes, DIY pasta and flatbread counter, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are some of the options kids can choose from.

The space is apt for a birthday party, gathering or even kitty parties where the kids can be taken care of. So all you moms out there in need of some ‘me time’ be sure to plan a trip to Millk this weekend. You can enjoy some time out while your tiny tots can have a gala time of their own.
