With all the cool places shifting base to the suburbs it made me quite happy to know that Loco Chino has opened up in SoBo. Tucked in the busy street of Peddar Road, Loco Chino scores on the concept of ‘fast casual dining. ‘ People who are always on the go will love this little food joint that will serve them specialties from all around the word. Be it Cantonese Dimsums, Burmese Khao Suey or Mexican Burritos you’ll find it all on their menu.

I simply loved the white décor that’s brightened up with a wall full of colour and table tops painted to resemble Mexican art. The East meets West concept is quite a hit here. We decided to try the most popular things on their menu starting with Edamame and Truffle Dimsums moving on to their four mushroom variety and Chicken Shui Mai. I have to mention that these little steamed delicacies were delicious.

After one more round of trying different Dimsum varieties I moved onto to taste the people’s favourite – Khao Suey. The gravy was so rich and creamy that for most parts I simply ate it up that way. But in company with the noodles, peanuts and onions too it tasted scrumptious.

The serving style is simple and hassle-free. Black plastic plates and chopsticks accompanied by black plastic forks and spoons which according to me add to their fast, casual feel.

We moved on to eat some Mexican specialties like Quesadillas, tacos and burritos that added to the tasty journey. The authentic Guacamole and tacos are with indulging in.
For beverages I had the lemon grass iced tea and the sassy señorita, both oh which proved to be different and refreshing.

Dessert lovers can rejoice cause they have a limited but decadent selection of goodies to ease your sweet tooth.

From a chocolate Nutella mousse to a Tres Leches and churros with chocolate sauce they will win your hearts and satisfy your soul.

I personally loved their choco-rich Nutella mousse and the Churros that were the perfect mix of crunchy outside and soft inside.

All in all if you wish to try out the Tex-Mex kind of cuisine and spent an evening dining in a casual environment then this is the place to be.

P.S: Loco Chino is at Carter Road’s Khaau Gaali in Bandra, Mumbai too.
