Nothing like a fun night over drinks and desserts, right? Well, that’s exactly what we’d planned when we heard about the Strawberry Festival at Otto Infinito. With the season for strawberries on in full swing, our expectations were soaring and how!
We arrived at Otto Infinito at around 8PM and the nip in the air coupled with the umbrella setup made the alfresco seating seem inviting. We made ourselves comfy in the dimly-lit outdoor area of the restaurant… and that’s how our evening began.
We decided to order our drinks first, and went with the manager’s recommendations of Strawberry Sangria and Rosemary & Strawberry Martini. If you like your drink sweet like I do, you will love the martini. The syrupy flavour with a hint of herb just hits the spot. The sangria too is worth a mention and is perfect if you’re looking for something a little less sweet.
Now coming to our favourite part of every meal – the desserts. We couldn’t pass up on the Strawberry Pizza – basically shortcrust pastry topped with mascarpone cheese and chopped strawberries. We also tried the quintessential Strawberry with Cream. While both desserts were delectable, there was hardly any innovation here. We did expect more, considering it was part of a specially created seasonal menu. Nevertheless, if you are dining at Otto, end your meal with one of these strawberry delights.
All in all, we’d recommend the drinks over the desserts from the Strawberry Festival any day.
