How to Make a Supreme Meat Pizza Minus the Bread [Video]

How to make a 100% meat pizza, minus the bread

 

For true meat lovers, we have a pizza that would make you scream! It is a beef bonanza with lots of cheese layered over pepperoni. And, there is absolutely no bread because the base is 100% meat. Just in case you still miss some bread, we tell you how to prep some garlic bread. Watch the recipe video to believe that the impossible is possible.

 

Ingredients:


For pizza sauce-
2 fresh tomatoes (without skin)
1/3 cup Tomato puree
Handful of Basil leaves
1 Onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp Olive oil
1 tsp Butter
14 cloves of garlic (approx)
½ tbsp Oregano
Salt as per taste
Pinch of pepper

 

For the meat –
750 gms beef mince
Garlic salt as per taste
Pepper as per taste
½ tsp Thyme
½ tsp Rosemary
Pizza sauce
Pepperoni (or any pizza topping)
1/3 cup shredded cheese

For garlic bread-
1 tbsp Butter
Loaf of fresh bread
Some fresh Parsley
5 cloves of Garlic
Pinch of Oregano
Pinch of Pepper
Dash of olive oil

 

Method:


Sauce:

  1. Add butter and olive oil to a hot pan. Throw in the garlic cloves and stir till they turn a nice brown colour.
  2. Add the chopped onion and stir till it gets translucent and brown.
  3. Take the peeled tomatoes and finely chop them. If you want to know how to peel tomatoes, we have an easy tip. Make a small incision at the tip of the tomato and blanch it in some boiling water for some 30 to 40 seconds. Use tongs to pick up the tomato from the boiling water and you will notice that the peel is coming off. Now, use your hands to peel the tomato. You will need to peel and chop two tomatoes for this recipe.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes to the onion and garlic mix, and let them cook for a bit.
  5. Put in the basil leaves without chopping them, to ensure that the flavour is intact. Add the oregano, salt and pepper. Stir and let the mixture cool.
  6. Once it is cooled, put it in a blender to form a smooth paste.
  7. Now put the mixture back in the pan and let it cook for a few seconds. Then add the tomato puree. Cook for a bit.
  8. Do a taste test to make sure it has the right flavours. For a dash of spice, you can add some Tabasco.
  9. If it tastes good, keep it aside for cooling.

 

Base

  1. Season the meat with some garlic salt, pepper, thyme and rosemary.
  2. Use your hand to mix the meat with the seasonings.
  3. Transfer the meat and seasoning mixture to the baking tray.
  4. Gently pat to make a round pizza base.
  5. Evenly spread the sauce on the meat base.
  6. Now, place the pepperoni on the sauce.
  7. Spread the shredded cheese over the pepperoni.
  8. Preheat an oven to 250 degree Celsius. Place the pizza in the oven and cook for 10-12 minutes. 
  9. Make sure the pizza is not over cooked because the meat will taste dry.

 

Garlic Bread

  1. While the pizza is being baked, you can quickly whip up some garlic bread.
  2. Take one tablespoon full of butter. Add crushed garlic to this butter, chopped parsley, pepper, oregano and dash of olive oil.
  3. Mix all of them together.
  4. Slice the bread and butter the slices. Now toast the bread on a pan. Your garlic bread is ready.

Serve with meat overload pizza and enjoy the feast!
