Comedian Bharti Singh and husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa are all set to welcome their first child in the first week of April. Bharti has been quite open about the phases of her pregnancy, food cravings and how she wants a normal delivery. And when it comes to working moms, the comedian has already set the bar high by becoming India’s first pregnant anchor.

Recently, she shared how she didn’t know that she was pregnant for the initial two and a half months of her pregnancy. Talking about how she couldn’t figure it out because of her weight and that it was a surprise for her, she told Pinkvilla.com, “When I got pregnant, for two and a half months, I didn’t even realise it. Mote logon ka pata nahi chalta. I am eating, shooting, running around and dancing on Dance Deewane. Then I thought let’s just check it once. When I did, I put the test down and came outside. When I went back to it and saw the two lines, I told Haarsh about it. So that was a surprise for us. We did not plan that this is the right time to have a baby.”

In December, Bharti announced her pregnancy by sharing a video titled ‘Hum Maa Banne Wale Hai’ on her YouTube channel LOL Life Of Limbachiyaa. Bharti is quite scared of a caesarean procedure, so she’s preparing herself for her delivery by opting for a strict nutritious diet. She also exercises daily to avoid any complications after delivery or during pregnancy.

Bharti has taken a break from The Kapil Sharma Show and is currently hosting the reality show Hunarbaaz, where she’s become India’s first pregnant anchor.

Talking about her experience, she said, “I have reached the sets. I am a bit scared that I am shooting in this situation. But I am being blessed with a lot of love and surrounded by my team and family. So, there is no need for me to be worried. This is my first day on shoot after being pregnant. I am excited and worried at the same time. You know how when you expect your family to support you, you expect how they would be like, ‘Yes, go. But be careful,’ ‘What if you slip’, ‘What if something hits your baby bump?’, etc. Mine scared me off and sent me with many warnings to be careful on the sets and not get myself hurt. Mothers tend to scare you. But I want to change people’s minds that you have to sit at home just because you are pregnant. I want to change everyone’s thoughts, including my mother’s. I will become India’s first pregnant anchor.”
