Ileana D’Cruz has always been vocal about experiencing body-image issues. She often turns to Instagram to share her experiences with her body, right from workouts to body dysmorphia. Recently, she shared how a simple but meaningful message from her trainer left her teary-eyed.

D’Cruz is known for being regular with her exercise routine. She oftens posts pre- and post-workout selfies. Yesterday, in one of her Instagram Stories, she wrote, “And we back to it after a little interruption from the monthly maintenance crew. (sic)”

In the next Story, D’Cruz explained her reason for being teary-eyed at the end of her workout session. “Had a moment today that I haven’t ever had after a workout before. I got emotional and teared up a teeny tiny bit. (sic)” 

She further added, “Reason? The trainer at the end of the stretching and cool-down said ‘now place your hands by your side and just embrace yourself… thank your body for all that it does for you’. And that hit so deep! It was the loveliest feeling ever! Try it and see how you feel as well. (sic)”

A powerful message

D’Cruz’s message is crucial at a time when many of us are struggling with body-image issues, thanks to conventional beauty standards and perfect social media posts. It’s about time we felt grateful for everything that our bodies do for us.
