Malaika Arora has always been glamour personified, after all she started out her career as a model and VJ before becoming a Bollywood actress. Now, in her 40s, she has the physique and face of someone decades younger. If you want to glow up in 2020, check out her fitness and diet routine. Thankfully, it is quite accessible and doable.

Malaika’s exercise routine

Malaika loves doing yoga, and even runs her own yoga studio called Diva Studio. She does yoga daily, starting her day with a Surya Namaskar, meditation and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.  She also credits yoga for healing her when she was going through her divorce from Arbaaz Khan. Speaking to a leading daily she said: “When I was going through my separation, yoga calmed me and healed me. You can do it for just 10 minutes. You don’t have to go on for an hour, although it would be fantastic if you can pull that off. You will see what wonders it does to your mind, body and soul.”

Malaika also switches up her routine and does Pilates, which helps improve flexibility, posture and balance.  In an interview with The Times Of India, Malaika spoke about her love for Pilates, saying, “It’s my way of life. It looks easier, but it requires sincerity, concentration and dedication to follow the routine and do justice to it. I was suffering from a hamstring injury and someone suggested I give it a try and once I started doing it regularly, I could sense the change and since then it became part of my life.”

Malaika’s diet

Malaika turned vegan a few months ago, having been vegetarian earlier. She also practices intermittent fasting. Speaking to a leading men’s magazine Malaika said, “Over a year ago, I was introduced to intermittent fasting. And, now, I swear by it. I think the combination of doing Yoga and following an intermittent fasting routine, daily, has just completely changed my way of thinking towards eating, food, et cetera.”

Previously, Malaika has given fans a glimpse at some of her favourite healthy snacks on her Insta stories. She loves peanut butter and bananas on whole wheat toast, with a bit of chia seeds sprinkled and she loves her juices.
