Even with the world advancing to newer heights every day, mental health is still a taboo in many Indian households. The younger generations are unable to get the help they know they need because having a conversation with their families about their mental health just leads to degrading conversations of them not being strong enough or spending too much time on their phones or just being plain crazy.

While many of us have taken the big step of going to therapy and getting help, but the cost of such sessions is not something that everyone can afford. So, while the professionals figure out a way to provide therapy at a lower cost, MensXP is making it possible for a day!

On World Mental Health Day, MensXP Experiences is giving people a chance to talk to a professional in a safe setting without having to step out of their rooms.

The “Mental Well-Being: One-on-One Counselling Session” is an online experience where people can have an open and honest conversation about their mental health.

The experience is being held in collaboration with Reboot Wellness which provides counselling and therapy for all kinds of mental health concerns, and lifestyle issues. The sessions will be led by Tanya Chaturvedi and Saloni Chaudhary who are counselling psychologists and believe in counselling that is a blend of tools of positive psychology and a person-centred approach.

Each session will be 45 mins long and will cost only Rs. 100 per person which is a very low cost for any form of therapy, making it ideal for everyone.

Many of us are not comfortable enough to enrol ourselves into regular therapy, so having the option of signing up for 45 mins is a god-send especially in the tough and stressful year 2020 has tuned out to be.

So, this World Mental Health Day take a step towards having an open and honest conversation about your stress, anxieties or just to talk about the way our lives turned upside down in the blink of an eye.
