Bollywood has had a long standing problem with depicting sex on screen. They want to show it but also be self-righteous –it’s chaos. How do you show the deed without actually showing the deed? Bollywood’s got the solution. rom flowers kissing to creepy stares and shutting doors, there’s always a lesson to learn when it comes to sex and mainstream Hindi cinema.
As a result of this hysterical relationship, many a times Bollywood has come up with the cringiest sex scenes. These scenes, although meant to be erotic, stirred up no emotion other than laughter. While it is extremely misinformative, we had to make this list to make sure you’d have another reason to LOL today.
A) Sushmita Sen and Mithun Chakravarty in Chingaari
Aww man, the awkwardness of this is gag-worthy. If there is anything more visually unappealing than a naked Mithun slobbering over the Miss Universe’s back, we’d happily change our names. You have to watch it to believe it.
B) Sanjay Kapoor and Neha Dhupia in Julie
This movie had a lot of sex, and a lot of us weren’t allowed to watch it growing up. With all the displeasing sex scenes, we’re happy we weren’t. Especially the part where Neha is lying naked on the bed with a shocking pink blanket ( who even has these? ) covering her butt and ‘I love You’s scribbled all over her body. What even?

C) Rani Mukerji and Prithviraj in Aiyya
If there is anyone who can show sex without showing actual sex, it’s Bollywood. Much like this scene in which there is double-meaning to every move–from putting in the nozzle to fill up petrol to the spurting of fuel everywhere. Could it get more symbolic?
D) Paoli Dam and Joy Sengupta in Hate Story
Firstly, this movie started off a chain of movies which did not need to be made. Second, Paoli’s character’s goal is to be the “best prostitute’’ ever, and third, during sex, she literally transfers data while riding the guy because why not? Also, he does NOT notice. Where can we find such non-interfering boys?
E) Om Puri and Mallika Sherawat in Dirty Politics
Just like the real-life sex tape that this movie was inspired by, the onscreen deed is the thing of nightmares. Also, who greenlit this film?
