One of the first things that make women wonder about an unexpected pregnancy is a missed period. Now it is technically okay to be delayed up to seven to eight days of the expected date, but one should definitely get a test if it goes into day eleven or twelve.

During the initial weeks of a pregnancy, a woman can feel extremely lethargic and sleepy. The progesterone levels rise when a woman conceives and that is why you may feel very tired. Although it is absolutely normal, a little yoga and meditations will help you feel fresh and less tired.

5. Tender breasts and nipples

Some women notice tender breasts when they are nearing their periods, so this sign might leave some confused. However, tender breasts are a highly noticeable symptom that a lot of women have reported. Other common signs are breast enlargement, change in the colour of the nipple, as well as soreness in the area. Since all pregnancies are not the same, it is not weird if you don’t experience this.

6. Cravings

It is a classic movie portrayal of a pregnant woman. She craves certain things and is repelled by others. Well, this is actually a common indicator of a pregnancy as well. Not all women experience it, but those who do, ] crave for a lot of sour foods and ice cream particularly. Also, your food preferences may change a lot during the initial trimester of pregnancy.

7. PMS-ing which is actually pregnancy mood swings

A lot of the symptoms mentioned above mimic the ones women generally feel during periods and can be highly confusing. That is why one might confuse their pregnancy symptoms with PMS since mood swings are common with both of them. The hormonal changes are observed to be quite dramatic during the initial stage of a pregnancy. This could make you feel like you have no control over your emotions.

8. Slight headaches and dizziness

Constipation or slowed bowel movement during the early conceiving days is another common sign. For some women the urge to pee is also heightened. What might feel like a damn ready to explode can actually just be a few droplets, since the sensation is heightened throughout the body.

10. Unusual intuition

This is not an obvious sign or an apt one, but some women have an intuition about their pregnancy. They “feel” they are pregnant and go on to take a test to confirm it.

All these signs are common signals in women who have experienced pregnancies, but they can only be confirmed by a proper pregnancy kit test, followed by one in a doctor’s office. If you have been feeling more than half of these symptoms, then it is best to take the test now.
