Melt-in-your mouth tikkas
Chicken tikkas are perfect party foods to brighten up the mood of your guests. But munching on the same kind of meat preparation gets boring. So to give your regular chicken tikkas a twist, we bring you this new preparation that uses pomegranate powder. Here’s the recipe of Sahranpuri Tikka that is marinated in a mix of flavourful spices like cumin, chillies, spice powder and ginger garlic paste. Relish these melt-in-your mouth appetisers that you will surely love.
Ingredients:
150 gms chicken tikka
5 gms malt vinegar
4 gms ginger garlic paste
Salt as per taste
10 gms hung curd
5 gms green chilli paste
10 ml mustard oil
10 gms roasted besan powder
10 gms dried pomegranate powder
2 gms cumin powder
2 gms hot spice powder
3 gms yellow butter (melted)
1 lemon (juice)
10 gms fresh pomogrante seeds
15 gms processed cheese
Method:
1. Take chicken tikka and apply ginger garlic paste and salt. Keep them aside for 30 minutes.
2. In a flat-bottom tawa cream the hung curd and cheese.
3. Add dry powder spices, other ingredients and gram flour.
4. Take the mustard oil in a frying pan and warm it over. Allow it to cool and add the marinade.
5. Cream the marinade well with your palms and check the seasoning.
6. Mix the chicken in the marinade and allow it to rest for an hour.
7. Skewer the chicken in seekh and roast in a hot tandoor till cooked well.
8. Apply lemon juice and yellow butter.
9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh pomegranate seeds.
