Andrei Rozhko’s Villa in Alps pays homage to its stunning mountain backdrop with a perimeter structure that mimics the surrounding natural landforms. The tremendous sheet aluminum sculpture is an abstraction of the landscape, flipped upside down as if it were the mountain’s reflection on a still lake. It provides organic relief to the squared domicile which it encircles and gives the property dimension while creating an ever-changing atmosphere of shadows and light that move with the position of the sun.
